"Rīgas mikroautobusu satiksme" to take over night bus routes as of April 4

"Rīgas satiksme" informs that as of April 4 night bus routes will be taken over by minibus company "Rīgas mikroautobusu satiksme". There will be no changes for passengers however: night transport will be available in the nights of Fridays/Saturdays and Saturdays/Sundays and will run by the usual routes like before, departure times, stops and price of tickets will not change, only midibuses will be replaced by minibuses.

There are also news for passengers with special needs – as a part of nigh minibuses are adapted for this category of passengers, disabled persons will be able to order the suitable vehicle on the necessary route in advance by phone 28655873.

It should be reminded that night buses are running on 9 routes in the nights of Fridays/Saturdays and Saturdays/Sundays. The terminal of the night buses in the city centre is public transport stop "Railway Terminal Square / Central Railway Terminal".

All night buses leave terminal "Railway Terminal Square / Central Railway Terminal" simultaneously, at 24:00; 01:00; 02:00; 03:00; 04:00; 05:00. From terminals in city districts they depart in „half-round” hours, i.e. at 00:30; 01:30; 02:30; 03:30; 04:30, and on some routes at 5:30. The departure times are set so that timetables should be easy to understand and remember.

"Rīgas satiksme" informs that as of April 4 night buses N2 Centre – Sarkandaugava – Vecmīlgrāvis and N3 Centre – Bolderāja will resume running according to summer schedules (in round hors from the city centre and in half-round hours from districts to the city centre).

Night transport schedules are available on www.rigassatiksme.lv and at terminals of respective routes. The drivers will stop at passengers’ request only at public transport stop to let passengers get on/off.

The price of ticket for all passengers is EUR 1.50 and tickets are only sold by the driver. Neither standard fare tariffs, nor any discounts apply to night buses, except those passengers entitled to use public transport free of charge under the Disability Law.
